Microsoft To End Support of Internet
Explorer 11 on June 15, 2022
RIP Internet Explorer

We received notification from our eCommerce provider that when Microsoft ends their support of Internet Explorer on June 15, 2022, they in turn will follow suit by ending support for Internet Explorer on June 23, 2022. That does not mean that Internet Explorer will stop working; it just means the browser will no longer be supported in the event you encounter any issues while using Internet Explorer. 

Microsoft is saying that most sites will continue on without interruption using their Microsoft Edge. If there are incompatible sites, Edge does allow for an Internet Explorer compatibility.

This is directly from the Microsoft site:

“Over the last year, you may have noticed our movement away from Internet Explorer (“IE”) support, such as an announcement of the end of IE support by Microsoft 365 online services (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-blog/microsoft-365-apps-say-farewell-to-internet-explorer-11-and/ba-p/1591666) . Today, we are at the next stage of that journey: we are announcing that the future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 is in Microsoft Edge. Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer, but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications. Microsoft Edge has Internet Explorer mode (“IE mode”) built in, so you can access those legacy Internet Explorer-based websites and applications straight from Microsoft Edge. With Microsoft Edge capable of assuming this responsibility and more, the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will be retired and go out of support on June 15, 2022, for certain versions of Windows 10.”

We’ll let you decide what works best for you and your organization.  We do not get many calls of people having browser compatibility issues.  Our eCommerce provider is recommending people switch to Google Chrome.  At this time, Chrome is the number one browser used by customers visiting our site but not the only one.

Gilbarco Veeder-Root is committed to maintaining service and support for all their solutions for the full extent of their hardware lifecycles. This support continues until they can no longer provide spare parts, or when significant technological advances dictate otherwise.PX52 End Of Support

The Passport PX52 (PX51) hardware set was released in 2005 and has served thousands of  Gilbarco Veeder-Root customers with fourteen major Passport releases and millions of hours of store operation. The PX60 Passport All-In-One hardware was introduced as the next evolution in April 2014 and sold across all petroleum/convenience networks and markets over the past three years.

Support for the PX52 (PX51) hardware set will be discontinued starting with Version 11.02 (Release 4) and all subsequent releases. This release is currently scheduled for production release starting March 2018.
