Gasboy End Of Life Notification: Islander PLUS

Gasboy Islander PLUSThe Islander PLUS and ICR PLUS Products Have Reached Their End Of Life.

Previous Gasboy notifications stated support for the Islander PLUS and ICR PLUS was communicated as follows:

Spare Parts Support ending = 4/30/2022
Help Desk Support ending = 4/30/2029

As of April 2022, Gasboy has exceeded the spare part commitment for Islander PLUS and due to the availability of raw materials, spare parts for Islander PLUS have become difficult to manufacture and source. While Gasboy continues to work hard to continue providing spare parts where feasible;they are not able to guarantee parts availability.

Gilbarco Product End Of Life Notification: Legacy Electronic Series Pump

Gilbarco Legacy DispenserGilbarco has announced the end of life for the Legacy series electronic dispensers.

The Last Time to Buy (LTB) deadline has been set for December 9, 2022 with ship dates that may be scheduled until March 10, 2023. Orders are non-cancellable and ship dates can not be scheduled beyond March 10, 2023. All other Gilbarco Standard Terms and Conditions apply to the LTB.

End Of Life Notification: Veeder-Root TLS-450PLUS Console 08600×1-301 Part Numbers

Veeder-Root is committed to providing the highest quality products and services to our customers. As the world leader in the development of fueling system technology, we view product End of Life (EOL) as part of the natural cycle that drives technology evolution.

TLS-450PLUS consoles with 08600×1-301 part numbers that feature a Dual RS-232 connection are being phased out. The last time buy date will be November 30, 2022, or while supplies last.

Veeder-Root has decided to standardize on the TLS-450PLUS consoles with 08600×1-302 part numbers. The -302 consoles feature a Dual RS-232/RS-485 port and are positioned in the market to better address evolving port connection requirements. Options are available to add supplemental RS-232 Interface Modules if necessary.

Transition Details

We recommend customers transition to the Veeder-Root TLS-450PLUS console with the Dual RS-232/RS-485 port as soon as possible.

If a second RS-232 connection is needed, we recommend ordering an additional RS-232 Communication Card. The following Module Compatibility can be found in the TLS Price Book, which helps customers determine which slot to put the communication card in.

We received notification from our eCommerce provider that when Microsoft ends their support of Internet Explorer on June 15, 2022, they in turn will follow suit by ending support for Internet Explorer on June 23, 2022. That does not mean that Internet Explorer will stop working; it just means the browser will no longer be supported in the event you encounter any issues while using Internet Explorer. 

Microsoft is saying that most sites will continue on without interruption using their Microsoft Edge. If there are incompatible sites, Edge does allow for an Internet Explorer compatibility.

This is directly from the Microsoft site:

“Over the last year, you may have noticed our movement away from Internet Explorer (“IE”) support, such as an announcement of the end of IE support by Microsoft 365 online services (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-blog/microsoft-365-apps-say-farewell-to-internet-explorer-11-and/ba-p/1591666) . Today, we are at the next stage of that journey: we are announcing that the future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 is in Microsoft Edge. Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer, but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications. Microsoft Edge has Internet Explorer mode (“IE mode”) built in, so you can access those legacy Internet Explorer-based websites and applications straight from Microsoft Edge. With Microsoft Edge capable of assuming this responsibility and more, the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will be retired and go out of support on June 15, 2022, for certain versions of Windows 10.”

Therefore, effective immediately we are obsoleting:
• All 3” float kits
• 2” float kits with cable lengths 10’ and 20’
• 4” float kits with cable lengths 10’ and 20’
If a 10’ or 20’ probe cable is required, the cable may be purchased as a spare part.
Due to lower demand of these installation kits, it is no longer feasible to support these going forward.

For customers currently using a 3” float kit, we recommend transitioning to a 2” float kit which is compatible with the Mag Plus Probe. Mag Plus Installation Kits will come standard with a 5’ cable. If a longer cable is required, it must be purchased separately.

Gilbarco Veeder-Root is committed to maintaining service and support for all their solutions for the full extent of their hardware lifecycles. This support continues until they can no longer provide spare parts, or when significant technological advances dictate otherwise.PX52 End Of Support

The Passport PX52 (PX51) hardware set was released in 2005 and has served thousands of  Gilbarco Veeder-Root customers with fourteen major Passport releases and millions of hours of store operation. The PX60 Passport All-In-One hardware was introduced as the next evolution in April 2014 and sold across all petroleum/convenience networks and markets over the past three years.

Support for the PX52 (PX51) hardware set will be discontinued starting with Version 11.02 (Release 4) and all subsequent releases. This release is currently scheduled for production release starting March 2018.
